User Profile for Ms Linda Francis (LindaFrancis)

Bio: Linda Francis has never been intimidated by new directions in technology or challenges getting the technology to “play nice”, her motto is, “Let me tell you how to do what you want to do.” In the early 90’s she taught herself to program so that she could automate the creation of legal documents for a federal government agency and she was given an Award of Excellence for her innovative solutions there. Linda’s first implementation of a template-driven content management system for an on-line travel company was used by the CMS vendor as to demo their product in Canada.

As an Interaction Designer and Content Management Consultant Linda has been advocating usability and implementing new technologies for 19 years. She has brought her brand of enthusiastic, envelope-pushing consulting expertise to such varied industries as: municipal, federal and provincial governments, crown corporations, on-line travel, advertising, legal, engineering, architectural, artist management and concert promotion.

Growing up as an air force brat whose family moved every two years, Linda learned how to adapt to new situations and honed her observation and relationship-building skills along the way. Today, she is passionately dedicated to facilitating the design of practical and usable solutions on every project she works on. Behind every satisfied stakeholder and good experience, on the web or elsewhere, is someone dedicated to making that experience a good one. Linda is one of those people and she believes you could be too.
